Privacy

Effective 25 September 2026.

Short version: no account, no ads, no tracking. What you draw and what is on your screen travel only between your own iPad and Mac.

This policy covers the Tracello iPad app, the Tracello Mac companion and this website, provided by Daytona Lab Agency LLC ("we").

What stays on your devices

• Pencil input. Pressure, tilt, hover and position go straight from your iPad to your Mac, over a USB cable or your local Wi-Fi network. They never pass through our servers.
• Your screen. In Display mode (Tracello Pro, coming soon), the Mac companion captures the display you choose and sends it to your iPad over the same local connection. It is never recorded, stored or uploaded.
• Encryption. The Wi-Fi connection is encrypted with TLS 1.3, and over Wi-Fi your pen input and screen go only to a device you have paired. The USB cable carries data only between the iPad and the Mac it is plugged into.
• Pairing keys. Each device keeps its own identity key and the list of devices you paired in the Apple Keychain on that device. Forgetting a device deletes its record on the device where you forget it; forget it on the other device too to remove both.
• Settings. Your settings and app keys stay on your devices, and in your device backups if you use iCloud or Finder backups.

What we do not collect

The Tracello apps contain no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and they do not connect to our servers. We do not collect your drawings, screen contents, documents, Pencil coordinates, contacts or location. There is no Tracello account.

Purchases

Tracello and Tracello Pro are bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card or Apple Account details. Apple gives us sales reports that do not identify you personally. The apps check your purchase with Apple on your device to unlock features.

Permissions

• Local Network (iPad and Mac): to find and connect to your other device on Wi-Fi.
• Accessibility (Mac): to move the pointer and send pen input to your apps. Asked during setup.
• Screen Recording (Mac, Display mode only, coming soon): to show your Mac screen on the iPad.
• Camera (iPad, optional): to scan the pairing QR code your Mac shows. The camera is on only while the scanner is open, and nothing it sees is stored or sent. You can type the pairing code instead.

You can turn any of these off at any time in Settings; Tracello then pauses the feature that needs it.

When you contact us

If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send, such as a description of the problem or a screenshot. We use this only to help you, and delete it when it is no longer needed.

This website

This site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, it processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse, and Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie for bot protection. We add no tracking cookies or analytics.

Children

Tracello does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
